OUR CSA

CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) programs are a great way to support your local farmer early in the season, giving them capital to purchase seeds, soil, amendments, and other miscellaneous things.

We are starting to get excited for the 2026 growing season. We want to thank everyone for all of the support over the 2025 growing season as well as all the years that we have been farming here on Westport. 2026 will be our 23rd year farming on Westport Island and our 21st year as a certified organic farm. Last year’s Community Supported Agriculture program went so well that we will be expanding our CSA this year. We will be extending the season and will be planning for a diverse selection of produce this year. With our diversification and expansion, we will be adding extra infrastructure and focusing on soil health and nutrients to ensure the success of our crops. We believe healthy produce starts with healthy soil. Every few years we invest heavily in compost to boost soil health. This year we will also be investing in several organic micronutrients to further add to the health of our soil and crops. In 2025 we transitioned our front field into permanent no-till beds. We will continue production in this field as well as adding our back field into production which has been in cover crop for 2 years. This years CSA will have two options. Our year-round resident share will run from May through October for a total of 24 weeks. This share will cost $600. Our summer resident share will run from July through September for a total of 12 weeks. This share will cost $300. Each weekly share will have an approximate value of $25/week. The value of our produce is based on market value. Most of our Mkt. prices have remained the same for the past 10 years. Share pickups will be at the brewery during operating hours on Saturday and Sunday from 1-7pm.  We will also be setting up an online store for weekly add-ons to your share. Add-ons may include local cheeses, eggs, flowers, extra produce, pork, beer, bread and other local items. While we love seeing everyone visit the farm and brewery to pick up their share, we are also discussing a home delivery option. This would be considered an add on. Home delivery would be on Friday afternoon and only be offered for Westport Island residents. We will keep you all posted as we work out the details. Please let us know if this would be helpful as it will help us budget and plan. Below is a timeline of vegetables which we intend on growing as well as a preliminary budget. Our goal is to sell 50 full shares to island residents. Thanks again for your support. We look forward to growing healthy, nutrients dense, organic food for our neighbors.
