OUR CSA
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is one of the most meaningful ways to support local farming. By joining early in the season, CSA members help provide the resources needed to purchase seeds, soil amendments, infrastructure, and everything else required to grow healthy food from the ground up.
As we head into the 2026 growing season, we’re excited to continue expanding our CSA program after an incredible season in 2025. This year marks our 23rd year farming on Westport Island, and we’re looking forward to growing an even more diverse selection of produce for our community.
Healthy produce starts with healthy soil. Over the years, we’ve focused heavily on soil health through compost, crop rotation, cover crops, and thoughtful growing practices. In 2025, we transitioned our front field into permanent no-till beds and will continue expanding production into additional fields that have been resting in cover crop. We are also continuing to invest in infrastructure and soil nutrients to support the long-term health and success of the farm.
For 2026, we are offering two CSA share options:
Full Season Share
May–October | 24 Weeks
Approximate value of $25/week
$600 per share
Summer Share
July–September | 12 Weeks
Approximate value of $25/week
$300 per share
CSA pickups take place at Sasanoa Brewing during tasting room hours:
Saturdays & Sundays | 1–7 PM
We are also planning to offer an online store for weekly add-ons to your share, including:
Local cheeses
Eggs
Flowers
Extra produce
Pork
Bread
Beer and other locally sourced goods
We are currently exploring a limited Friday home delivery option for Westport Island residents as an optional add-on service.
What’s in a Share?
CSA offerings change throughout the season based on what’s growing in the fields. While every year is different, past shares have included:
MAY: Scallions, Arugula, Salad Turnips, Lettuce, Radishes, Dill
JUNE: Kale, Spinach, Broccolini, Summer Squash, Parsley, Peas
JULY: Salad Greens, Chard, Cucumbers, Green Beans, Cilantro, Cabbage
AUGUST: Cherry Tomatoes, Zucchini, Cauliflower, Basil, Eggplant, Heirloom Tomatoes
SEPTEMBER: Sweet Peppers, Celery, Carrots, Spicy Greens, Radishes, Tomatoes
OCTOBER: Kale, Potatoes, Napa Cabbage, Delicata Squash, Fennel, Beets
Because farming is seasonal and weather-dependent, each share varies slightly throughout the year — and that’s part of the beauty of eating locally and seasonally.
